We were greeted by Elder &
Sister Oldham and Elder & Sister Henderson from the mission office at the airport and they have taken extremely good care of us ever since. I feel like we have been adopted and I like
it. Our temporary boarding is quite nice and directly across from the Oldhams so they can try and keep us out of trouble.

The Oldhams have taken us sight seeing, and have seen to all sorts of details that need to be taken care of (ie: issued a new car, banking stuff, food, etc.)
Tonight we went to dinner with the Oldhams, the Hendersons and President and Sister Wood at a very nice but inexpensive restaurant where we had a great meal.

After dinner we did a bit of shopping at the mall and found a super buy on ties. They only cost R10 (less than $1.50) each so we bought several.
Tomorrow
we continue on to the next adventure of driving on the wrong side of the
road...oh, I'm sorry on the left hand side of the road. Pray for us and
the other drivers we meet!
Love the view outside the mission office! ... and the food looks fantastic! Okay, okay, sign me up...
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so beautiful!! What a view outside the mission home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun...and lovely, mission adventure it's starting to be... plus great food & shopping too.
I can relate to driving on the wrong [pardon me], the OTHER side of the road. Phil will tell you it was weeks before I stopped screaming when we went to Japan.
