Thursdays are always nice because they are the day after seminary and it kind of feels like a day off of studying stuff I have to and I can study stuff I want to…at least until Saturday when I start over with seminary studies and some of primary, depending on who may not be there on Sunday.
We did some grocery shopping and errands to prepare for the
upcoming Helping Hands held on August 17.
While we were trying to roast some macadamia nuts, the oven just stopped
working. Rick called our repair guy…Terrance…and
he came over fairly quickly. It’s
working again…my cookies lovers will be happy about that!!
Rick had a meeting with President Nteyi and they were going
to wire in a light in the bathroom of a members home, but President Nteyi must
have forgotten and he scheduled a presidency meeting with his new councilor Stephan
Mabaso instead.
Rick was extremely happy
about that in the fact that he took the initiative to do that and the meeting
went very well. The new councilor is
studying at the 43 Air School and will only be here for a year. He is a return missionary and a former branch
president, married with one child. His
family is not here, but he is sure an asset to our branch. He is only 28 years old.
