October 7, 2012

Today I was taking Sister Vlindlu home from church and I asked her about her weekend.  She said she and her husband had been to the funeral of her husbands’ cousin on Saturday.  I asked her how old the cousin was and she said he was very old.  She said he was born in 1948.  I laughed and told her President Stumm was born in 1948…she sheepishly laughed.  In South Africa, people don’t usually live that old and they don’t give the age of a person, they tell you what year they were born.
