September 9, 2013 Wooding in South Africa is not the same

Again, it is another p-day and since we don’t have anything planned for “fun”, Rick was off to cut down a tree…one of his personal favorite things to do.  MMMMMore poweRRRRRR….his firewood cutting days are coming back to him.  Actually, Brother Hola needed a tree cut down because it is shading his garden spot and since there isn’t another choice for his garden…the tree comes DOWN. There were only two trees that needed to come down and he and the chainsaw were just getting warmed up when it was all over. Wooding in South Africa is just not the same as back home. He also squeezed in a couple of interviews in the process!!!  Not bad….huh!!  I stayed at boarding and emailed all of our wonderful former elders, which we do each week.  Since they are now part of our family we need to keep their spirits up…or something like that!!!  We always write Elizabeth, after all she is our favorite missionary and we love her adventures!!  After lunch, we did some banking stuff and then picked up a couple of the young women and took them to the municipality to arrange for them to do beach cleanup on Saturday.  We then took them home and paid a bill at the path lab and visited with Sister Dell, then to the Moore’s to help them plan their family home evening.  After stopping at the grocery store for a few things, we went back to our boarding to make pizzas for dinner.
