August 3, 2013 Outhouse outing.

I wasn’t feeling very well today, and slept a lot.  I did make a pan of cocoa brownies, just in case Elder Tennant ends up leaving.  It’s one of his favorites.   Rick was at a service project at Ntombiyakhe’s where they were digging a new outhouse toilet for her.  The old one was very ragged and almost full.

A prefect Fit

They didn’t finish it, but it is well on its way and useable.  A lot of digging went on.  Elder Andersen, Elder Tennant, Brother Nobebe and Sinalo Nteyi were also there to help.  Rick came home tired!!
After he came home from that, got a little food and showered we both went to the church where we had a correlation meeting with the Elders and Brother Nobebe, our new branch mission leader.  I brought some brownies…they were all extremely happy about that.  Actually, while they met, I went to PickNPay and bought a couple of days’ worth of food for a family that has been struggling lately.  They are struggling now, since the husband hasn’t worked much the last few months.  Rick and I are going by to see what kind of help they are going to need.   Rick talked with them and they were going to talk about their situation and get back with him.  The immediate help needed was R300 to pay for their sons transport to school for a month, money for electricity as they were out and money to buy some juice.
